Who Should Get the Credit For Capt. Phillips’ Freedom?

Check out this article from World Net Daily:

World Net Daily Story About Phillips Rescue From Pirates

An interesting article. It says that Obama actually hindered the rescue by refusing to allow deadly force to be used early on, and the commanders in the water basically overrode him and did it anyway.

Let me wipe the shock off of my face.

I’m about as surprised by this as I was surprised that Clay Aiken was gay. Not much. Miniscule. Knock me over with a feather.

Obama wants to be loved. He is a narcissist of the highest order. The thought of the Somali’s disliking him is hard for him to take. Fellow Africans, Muslim Africans at that, might dislike him. He has to pretend that he ordered these poor downtrodden Somali children gunned down. For his political life’s sake, he has to pretend to be happy about what happened, and worse, he quite possibly believes America is at fault for the plight of these disenfranchised pirates in the first place. I know a lot of his followers believe that.

Still thanks to brave warriors on the high seas, we got our Captain back, and Obama gets to claim credit for being overridden by his military. He can’t courts martial the commanders, they succeeded. I doubt Champaign was uncorked in the White House over the incident though. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall listening to him and Michelle talk about it. Somehow, I think their private conversation was much different from his public speech about it.

Now of course, I don’t truly know what he thinks about the incident. I can only conjecture from what I have witnessed from him so far, but I don’t think I’m too far off base. I’m sure he’s glad Captain Phillips got rescued. I’m also pretty sure he is unhappy that the pirates got taken out. No one likes people getting killed, but America was not to blame for their deaths. THEY WERE!

My hats off to the Bainbridge Commander and to the Navy SEAL Team Leader that went with the open shot and took it. Saving the life of that brave Captain was worth risking Obama’s wrath. It’s a shame Obama didn’t see it the right way to begin with, but once more, not shocking. In the end, the Captain is free, Obama gets credit, the bad guys get dead, and America shows it’s still the baddest boy on the block. Three out of four aint bad.

Cheers!
