The Congressional Black Caucus Takes a Field Trip

Maybe you heard about it. It seems the Congressional Black Caucus (from this point forward known as the CBC because that other was too long to type over and over) went on a class field trip to Havana and just by chance ran into Fidel Castro.

Castro was totally unaware of them, and it was just a chance random encounter by a comunista real and some comunista falso’s, nothing big. The field trip had stopped for ice cream and just bumped in to ol’ Fidel as he was out on his daily trip of taking meals to the widows and orphans of Havana.

They were so excited to see him, and find out he’s just an ordinary guy, a pal, a comrade, a …. No? We can’t use that word? OK, edit please….

They were so excited to see him, and find out he’s just an ordinary guy, a pal, a friend, and survivor. Why little Bobby Rush even said he was a survivor. I think he meant he survived that mean evil country’s sanctions against his beautiful, wonderful fairyland of freedom, but I’m not sure.

It seems Bobby and the other children that visited Havana find America to be the oppressor state while Cuba is free and happy and gay. Oh and kind ol’ Fidel lives in a modest house and just gives everything to his adoring people. Whereas, evil Americans keep what they have only for themselves. It’s just not fair!

The CBC kids noticed people in rafts heading out to sea, and asked Fidel where they were going. He said they were his emissaries to the USA. He sends them to tell the US government and people how great Cuba is, but when they get to America they are forced to tell lies about Cuba and poor ol’ Fidel. They asked him why his soldiers were shooting at the rafts, and kind ol’ Fidel explained that his soldiers were shooting the sharks around the rafts to protect the emissaries.

Next the CBC kids went to church. Ol’ Fidel didn’t go with them, he had already been so many times this week, his knees were sore. The CBC kids enjoyed the church very much and thought how remarkably God and Fidel resemble each other. They asked Fidel about that, and he explained that he has been such a pious man of meager means his whole life that God had honored him by using his likeness. The CBC kids were so happy to hear this, they asked if they could take those images back to America with them, to pray to them there. He gladly gave them some.

Finally, the CBC kids had to say goodbye to their new bestest friend in the whole wide world, ol’ Fidel. They were sad, and didn’t want to leave. He encouraged them and said cheer up. In a few more years with Obama, you are going to have everything that we have here, comrades! No? Oh yeah I forgot. Edit that….

Cheers!
