A Great Idea for the Welfare State

So it seems we are becoming more and more a welfare state. Even Clinton got rid of some of the welfare while he was president, but our Socialist in Chief, soon to be armed with a filibuster proof majority, is determined to pay off all of his constituency with other peoples money, so lets look at this a bit.

He said time and again that he was giving a tax break to 95% of America during the campaign. Of course, the problem with this only about 60% of America actually pays the taxes, so this is a direct payment to the voters that pay no taxes from those that do. It’s a bribe. Vote for me, I pay you.

The Welfare Mom pumping out kids to get more and more in payments for their vote is soon to be back. She’s like the Blob, she never goes away, just hides for awhile, until the conditions are right to come out and feed again.

Well, conditions are perfect now. I saw a sign that said, Obama says he will pay my mortgage, provide me with food, and give me job training….What the heck do I want with a job!

That about sums it up. As more people get on welfare to subsist, more people will vote Democrat because those nasty Republicans want you to actually work for a living for yourself.

Yesterday, a lady told me something that inspired me to write this blog posting, she said people on welfare should have to pass random drug screenings just the same as most employers require these days.

Wow. The libertarian in me says, no, no more government requirements for anything, but the justicar in me says, right on!

If I am forced to take these tests to gain employment and then keep it, why shouldn’t those on the public dole prove they aren’t using my tax money to pay for their illegal drugs. Besides, wouldn’t we want to know if their kids are being subjected to illegal drug use?

I think it’s brilliant and easily implementable and just makes common sense. So my libertarian side loses on this one, but I understand if you repel from it.

I think those on the public dole should likewise be required to fill out x amount of job applications a month to get their checks also, but I would be happy just with the drug testing.

This will never happen, it’s simply my jaunt into fairyland where everything is good and makes sense, but wouldn’t it be nice? Wouldn’t it?

Cheers!

Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Taliban

One thing out of many wrong things that George Bush did during his Presidency, was not get Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban while he could in western Pakistan.

When we had them on the run after their quick collapse in Afghanistan, we could have wiped them out, if we would have followed them into Pakistan’s tribal region.

We did the diplomatically expedient thing and stopped and honored their sovereignty. We have made minor incursions, and used drones to kill a few Taliban, but no truly meaningful attacks to get OBL or his Taliban henchmen.

Why? We didn’t honor Afghan sovereignty by going after them. We went in there, because those were the people responsible for 9/11 and we were going to get them. When they fled to Pakistan, we should have given Pakistan 10 minutes to send in their troops, and then we should have went in when the answer was no or there was no response.

If Pakistan wasn’t going to help us get those responsible for 9/11 then to heck with Pakistan. Yes, I know they have nukes and there would be a chance they would try to use them on us. Poppycock. As long as we only had ground forces in their tribal regions, they wouldn’t have done squat, except scream to the UN. Secretly, they would have loved us to have eliminated their tribal problem.

The thought at the time was Musharraf was too unstable in Pakistan to risk alienating his population, and we needed him as a leader in the region. There are many reasons why this was bad thinking on the Bush Administrations part, not the least of which is evidenced by the fact that Musharraf was ousted anyway.

The world would have said we shouldn’t, but so soon after 9/11 they wouldn’t have hollered too much. We could have gone in, taken OBL et al out, and got out.

Today, we are left with the aftermath of not having the testicular fortitude that would have taken. We have OBL and the Taliban alive and well, with the Taliban increasing it’s influence in Pakistan daily.

We have a President with at best no stomach for a fight, and at worst, Muslim sympathies that isn’t going to do a darn thing about that region, but shake hands.

In the last two days in Pakistan, the Taliban has raided Christian homes and executed two Christians that would not convert to Islam, and executed a man and woman that had been allegedly caught committing adultery. The video of the execution is on the internet, I didn’t post a link to it, but it’s easy to find, if you must see it. To say it’s disturbing is not giving it justice. It was cold blooded in the casualness that the executioner carried out his task of killing this man and woman as they tried to run for their lives. He then was told they weren’t dead, so he calmly walked up to them and riddled their bodies with more bullets.

Word is the Taliban is making a push to rule Pakistan. So we have traded their rule in a poor rather insignificant country like Afghanistan, and possibly given them a nuclear power in Pakistan, not a good trade. On Let’s Make a Deal it would have been taking door #3 and getting the old jalopy, instead of the ‘vette behind door #2.

Obama will not deal with this problem. He will glad hand and apologize and bow down to the Muslim leaders there. He will kill a few Taliban with drone aimed missiles, and appease the UN with sorrowful condemnations of the “people that came before” him, and nothing will be done.

Hopefully, the Pakistani people themselves will see the horror that awaits them if the Taliban comes to power and they will not allow it. I’m not too hopeful about that though….are you?

Cheers!

I Hate Hate Crimes

Here’s a very interesting short article that’s kind of gone under the radar.

House Loves Hate Crimes

This got me to thinking about where we are heading as a country with all of this hate crime stuff.

It seems to be labeled a hate crime, it has to be a crime committed against a favored constituency of the liberals in Congress, and must be committed by someone that is not a favored constituency of the liberals in Congress.

So a crime against a black person (vote 90% Democrat) is a hate crime, if it’s committed by a white person. However, if the exact same crime is committed upon the exact same person but by another black person, it’s not a hate crime.

If a homosexual (vote around 90% Democrat) has a crime perpetrated upon them by another homosexual then it’s just an ordinary crime, but if it’s perpetrated by a WASP, then watch out girlfriend.

Jews (vote 70+% Democrat) are protected, as are a myriad of other special interest groups that the liberals love, but if the same crime happens to a white guy, well he deserved it.

Now let’s talk about Christian beliefs and how they are NOT protected. Christians are one of the last groups that it’s ok to discriminate against. Example after example of it is ever increasing in our less and less Godly world.

The world hates Christians just as much as the homosexual lobby or the Muslims or the atheists or the communists or Jeanine Garofalo.

The hate crimes bill’s that are being passed around the world aren’t designed to protect minority type groups, they are designed to muzzle dissent.

Congress knows the laws on the books are plenty good to protect all persons, not just these special interest groups, but they want to silence the opposition to these special interest groups and keep a solid voting block in their pockets.

Soon when a Christian reads from the Bible, they will be arrested, and no one will care. In fact, the crowds will cheer the arrest of the hatemonger Christians.

We are easy prey for liberals. We have to profess our beliefs, or be labeled a hypocrite, and when we do, we will be labeled haters and freaks.

What will happen after they finish with muzzling Christians? Who will be next on the liberal hit parade? They won’t stop with just Christians.

The Minutemen and their closed borders agenda maybe? After all, they will be seen as hate speakers for not wanting to allow any and all people across our borders.

Maybe private property owners? Why do you hate people by wanting to own land only for yourself?

We, as Christians need to get off of our keesters and stop the madness at our doorsteps. If those that profess Christ can’t stop the stampede, no one can.

Cheers!

PS – Remember Matt 24:9 – … and you will be hated by all nations because of me.

Closer and closer.

Britain Ups Tax Rate to 50% for the Top…wait for it….1% of Tax Payers!

Here’s the obligatory link (short article worth perusing):

Britain Hates That Top 1% Too

Two things stick out in the article:

1. …as Britain seeks to claw back lost tax revenue

How can tax revenue be lost? They mean people paid less than the government spent. So instead of the government tightening it’s belt, the citizens of Britain will have to tighten theirs, or at least that 1% will. There is no way the British government is going to give less to a huge voting block. No, it’s more more more for the poor! Now go vote for us!

2. In order to help pay for additional support for people now…

Socialism at it’s finest. We are increasing support for those that have less and funding it from those that have more. Sorry chaps, hope you don’t mind, but we win votes this way. Since you are just 1% of the population you can’t hurt us, if we lose your votes, so Cheerio!

The saddest part of this for me, is this is where we are heading. Well, it’s where we are, just to a lesser degree. The world’s Democracies have discovered they garner votes with other people’s money. Those other people are a smaller voting block, hence no biggie if they get ticked, and no one has the rich guys back, except the few other rich guys. It’s as easy as taking candy from a millionaire.

Cheers!

Flaming Judge Flames Miss California

By now, you have heard about the infamous question and answer and obligatory outrage from every liberal in the country. How dare this girl speak such hate and vitriol! How dare her speak truth to her religious beliefs! She is like all Christians, they just hate homosexuals, and want them to be second class citizens! And on, and on.

It’s all been argued so much, I’m not sure why I’m writing about it, except that I have a few things to say on the subject. So here it goes. I’m not going to proselytize, but it might sound that way.

I am a Christian and believe in the infallible truth of the Bible. The Bible steps on toes. It holds no punches. It says the truth of the universe, you can accept it or not, it doesn’t change it. God isn’t going to lose sleep over whether any of us believe him and his word or not. Yet, he sent his Son down to die for each of us individually, because he loves us greater than we can ever love him back. He is a just God and cannot abide sin. He loves you enough to allow you to choose Hell over Heaven.

Here’s where it gets tricky and we lose people. Over the last few decades, several of the world’s Christian denominations have started this morally relevant type of Christianity that says basically if you are good person, God will not deny Heaven from you, regardless of whatever else you may do. More and more Bibles are being re-written to exclude the word homosexual so as not to sound condemning, the word is replaced with a generic sexual immorality.

This is a lie straight from Hell, and goes toward this girl’s answer. Do the people that support same-sex marriage love homosexuals more, or do Christians that truly believe they will go to Hell if they continue in their sins? Forget whether you agree with the Christian or not, it’s immaterial. The fact is WE believe it.

If Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA, truly believes that a homosexual lifestyle is a sin to the God she claims to serve, saying anything less would have been truly hating homosexuals. I propose that those that encourage this lifestyle are the ones that truly hate homosexuals, because they don’t care about their eternal souls at all.

I don’t hate homosexuals. I’m certainly not physically scared of them. I hate the homosexual agenda and movement because I believe it is damning people to Hell. The more it influences young people to try it, the more people it condemns.

I Corinthians 6:9-10 : Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (Note that if God truly meant sexual immorality in place of homosexuality, God would have said sexual immorality twice in this verse. I don’t think so)

That’s quite a list there, and it’s a partial list of the things that will keep you from entering Heaven. As a Christian, I hate each of those sins, yet I don’t hate people that do those things.

I know people that have committed sexual immorality, idolatry, adultery, stolen things, been greedy, are drunkards, slanderers, and probably swindlers, and lastly, I’ve known homosexuals (I can’t say I’ve known a male prostitute).

I don’t hate any of those people, but I fear for their souls because of their sin.

The difference in homosexuality and these other sins is not that homosexuality is worse, but it’s that they have a very aggressive agenda that is trying to convert people to their way of life, or at least, shut those up that speak out about their agenda. If an agenda was formed around swindlers, say the Swindlers are People Too Campaign, I would react exactly the same by condemning it as unhealthy spiritually, but there isn’t such a group. Well, Congress doesn’t count.

The homosexual agenda is anathema to we Christians. It is a battle line for the soul that we cannot allow to be crossed. Not only for the sakes of those in this sin, but for those not yet in it.

I have 12 children. By statistics that means 1 or 2 of my children will be homosexuals. I can’t bare the thought of losing 2 of my kids to the Devil. I pray for them, and I speak out against not just homosexuality, but over-sexuality, and promiscuity, and adultery, and a whole list of other things.

Sadly, I believe America is going the way of Europe and it will soon be illegal to speak out against the homosexual agenda without being fined or imprisoned as a hate speaker. Miss California got a small taste of things to come. We got to see where we are heading as a nation that every day moves further away from the God of the Bible, and toward the God of Belial.

As with most things in our Orwellian world, it is not we Christians that hate homosexuals, it is clearly the homosexuals who hate we Christians.

Cheers!

Obama Leaves the Door Open for Prosecution of Bush Officials

I say go for it! Prosecute away! Ok, wait a second before you throw me out of the sane people’s club. I haven’t lost my mind. Yes, I have a reason.

I believe the Bush official’s did nothing wrong by defending our country to the fullest extent possible. I also believe that a trial or hearing will be forced to allow testimony as to the extent that the Bush Administration actually did protect our country. That then can be juxtaposed to what Obama is currently doing, and I believe Obama will be found very lacking. I believe a trial or hearing can quickly be turned on Obama, and he and his cohorts will be the ones defending themselves.

It was not by accident that no more attacks happened in the USA on Bush’s watch. I promise, it wasn’t for lack of trying on the bad guys parts.

In fact, it came out today that one plot revealed by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was to have Asian Muslims fly a plane into the tallest building in Los Angeles. I wonder why Khalid told us that information. Do you think he just felt like fessing up, maybe he had become best buds with one of his interrogators, or maybe he thought he was about to be drowned by water boarding? Answer: Give me water boarding for $500, Alex.

Had Obama been the president, would we have found out and stopped this attack? Had the Democrat Congress been running the show would we have known? I doubt it. Even with as much charisma as Obama thinks he has, I doubt Khalid would have told him about it. He might have told him he has a nice jumper (terrorists are notorious liars), but that would have been about it.

My hope is that when it comes to light just how dangerous the world is, and just how much Bush protected us, that the adult part of the nation will cry out for more of the same from Obama. Obama will not be able to bring himself to do it. With the country knowing he is willingly endangering us, the tide just may turn on him, and his Jimmy Carter slide will start.

My prayer is this happens without an actual attack succeeding. I pray we can get rid of him and get an adult back in the White House in 2012 with no incidents.

The fact that this liberal witch hunt started to collect Republican scalps, may be what causes their downfall is too rich. I don’t really care about that though. I just want this country safe, as safe as it can be, and I don’t care if we have to water board, or caterpillar some terrorist to keep it safe.

I think most Americans will feel exactly the same.

Cheers!

Chavez, Ortega, and Other Third World Lightweights Go Easier on the USA Than Rev. Wright

It’s a sad day in socialism when Third World Penny Ante Little Dictators can’t slam on America as badly as our President’s own pastor can.

Such is the sad case at some penny ante little meeting of penny ante little socialists. The other sad thing is Obama is quickly running out of people he can apologize to for the mean place he’s forced to preside over.

Yes, the Apology Tour 2009 continues, but it’s fast losing steam. I believe his next stop is Chief Wagalaga of the Pimbatche tribe of central Ecuador. It seems we need to apologize to them for John Johnson. He was an American that got lost there in 1887 and had to cut down a tree for fire when he was stranded and hungry.

Will Americans stop at nothing?! Johnson has been tried in absentia, for the murder of the central Ecuadoran rain forest, by the Obama Justice Department and was found to be a boorish, egocentric, arrogant Christian American and sentenced to death, which he started serving immediately. Obama will formally apologize to Chief Wagalaga and give him Johnson’s skull to hang on his hut as a friendship gesture next Friday, oh and 75 billion dollars in rain forest damages.

After that it’s on to Antarctica to apologize to Happy Feet for America single handedly killing off the fish he and the other penguins need to survive.

Now back to the miserably pathetic drones of Latin America known as leaders. No really, in their countries they are actual leaders. That right there would normally disqualify them from any semblance of seriousness on the USA’s part, except for the fact that our leader is pretty much just like theirs now. Hopefully, our Constitution will prove stronger than those other countries’ have.

Chavez gave Obama a book about how America has raped Latin America for decades, or centuries, or eons, or however long it takes to get votes for themselves. The whole purpose of their diatribes are for riches and votes from their people. Blame the USA for their problems, and keep gutting their infrastructures for their own personal gain, while garnering votes for standing up to America.

It’s tried and true, and boring. Reverend Wright does the same thing. He slams on America, creates class envy, rakes in money from his followers, and garners votes for his candidates, like Obama. He’s even a socialist/communist like Chavez and Ortega, and Ob…well, you know.

Here are some questions:

Would Chavez have tried to give that book to Bush? I highly doubt it personally. Chavez knows he might have gotten b-slapped by Bush if he had tried that with him.

Would Bush have accepted it? Maybe, but I doubt it. Reference the b-slapping above.

Would any President have allowed that little maniac to have gotten away with that, except for Obama? Sure, Jimmy Carter. I doubt even Clinton would have accepted it. Reagan would not have accepted. He would have smiled, whispered in Chavez' ear, and sent money to Freedom Fighters to handle the problem. Boy, do I miss him.

Did 20 years of listening to Rev. Wright prepare Obama for what he heard at this meeting? You bet. He felt right (Wright) at home. They spoke his language. Anti-Americanese.

Cheers!

Who Should Get the Credit For Capt. Phillips’ Freedom?

Check out this article from World Net Daily:

World Net Daily Story About Phillips Rescue From Pirates

An interesting article. It says that Obama actually hindered the rescue by refusing to allow deadly force to be used early on, and the commanders in the water basically overrode him and did it anyway.

Let me wipe the shock off of my face.

I’m about as surprised by this as I was surprised that Clay Aiken was gay. Not much. Miniscule. Knock me over with a feather.

Obama wants to be loved. He is a narcissist of the highest order. The thought of the Somali’s disliking him is hard for him to take. Fellow Africans, Muslim Africans at that, might dislike him. He has to pretend that he ordered these poor downtrodden Somali children gunned down. For his political life’s sake, he has to pretend to be happy about what happened, and worse, he quite possibly believes America is at fault for the plight of these disenfranchised pirates in the first place. I know a lot of his followers believe that.

Scroll Down to the Pirates Story (Obama Pic)

Still thanks to brave warriors on the high seas, we got our Captain back, and Obama gets to claim credit for being overridden by his military. He can’t courts martial the commanders, they succeeded. I doubt Champaign was uncorked in the White House over the incident though. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall listening to him and Michelle talk about it. Somehow, I think their private conversation was much different from his public speech about it.

Now of course, I don’t truly know what he thinks about the incident. I can only conjecture from what I have witnessed from him so far, but I don’t think I’m too far off base. I’m sure he’s glad Captain Phillips got rescued. I’m also pretty sure he is unhappy that the pirates got taken out. No one likes people getting killed, but America was not to blame for their deaths. THEY WERE!

My hats off to the Bainbridge Commander and to the Navy SEAL Team Leader that went with the open shot and took it. Saving the life of that brave Captain was worth risking Obama’s wrath. It’s a shame Obama didn’t see it the right way to begin with, but once more, not shocking. In the end, the Captain is free, Obama gets credit, the bad guys get dead, and America shows it’s still the baddest boy on the block. Three out of four aint bad.

Cheers!

A Republic Falls the First Time a Communist Wins

Whether it’s a free and fair election, or a coupe, or some other way of coming in to power, the first time a communist wins a countries highest office, he plans on being in office from that point forward (if not himself, his proxies).

George Washington freely gave up the Presidency of the United States, and went back to Mount Vernon of his own volition. He is the complete antithesis of socialists/communists and is my favorite President.

His European contemporaries were flabbergasted that a man with that much power would freely relinquish it, but he did. In so doing, he set the stage for every President after him to have to do the same. I admire John Adams, but had he been the first President I wonder how different our country might have become. Thank God (and I mean the real God) Washington won that first election.

George Washington and most of our Founder’s were uncommonly great men. Let me repeat that, as time passes and we watch the politics of the world, including our own, we see just how fortunate we were to have these UNCOMMONLY great men as our Founder’s.

It’s a small man that only thinks about himself. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Minh, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez, Ortega, and on and on.

These men preach how they are only helping the little people, but they are really only about their own wealth, their own fame, and their own power.

Chavez tried a coupe to take power of Venezuela in 1992. It failed miserably. Had Chavez himself been the President of Venezuela he would have had himself shot, end of story. The then President put him in jail for a whole two years. He got out, and became President in 1998, just 6 years after his coupe attempt. He has been President ever since.

He immediately changed everything. He changed the constitution, the legislative branch, the judiciary, and much more. He consolidated power so that he could hold mock elections and keep winning for the rest of his life. Term limits? Eh, just change ‘em. Free Media? Eh, just arrest ‘em.

Daniel Ortega was the President of Nicaragua. He was eventually ousted (Thanks to Reagan’s aid), and should never have seen the light of day again for his crimes. Instead, he is NOW the President again! And just as before, he is consolidating power right out of the Third World Communist Leader’s Handbook. It will be almost impossible to get him out again.

Republic’s are too fair with communists and communists know it. They know they aren’t going to be that fair to the Republics for which they say they serve. For a Republic to survive, it has to rely on the Republicanism of it’s elected officials in each and every election. For a communist country to be born, the communists only have to win one election, one time.

Where are we as a country in all of this? Do we have a great man at the helm? Or do we have one of these small men?

Cheers!

McCain’s Top Advisor is Over the Top on Same-Sex Marriage

Let’s start with the link:

Fox Story on Steve Schmidt

It seems Mr. Schmidt (Steve Schmidt, former top advisor to John McCain) believes the Republican Party is in danger of becoming a “religious party”, if they continue to oppose same-sex  marriage. Oh perish the thought!

That is so much bilge it would sink the Titanic, if the Titanic were still floating. It’s so much hot air that I might actually start believing in man-made, or at least Steve Schmidt made, Global Warming. It’s silliness cubed.

This comes from a man that must be fairly intelligent and ambitious to get to the heights he has attained, either that or he kisses backside like a champ!

Why would he pick same-sex marriage I wonder? Hmm, why not abortion, that’s a “religious” stance also, and much bigger. Oh, his SISTER is a lesbian! Could it be that he’s picking same-sex marriage because of his family? Why no, of course not, he would say.

As time passes since the election, almost daily it is confirmed that McCain was only a marginally better candidate than the wanna-be communist we have in the White House now.

McCain’s daughter is showing her mug anywhere and everywhere a free lunch is given out, and now this buffoon that was almost advising a President opens his mouth and inserts his beltway punditry to chastise middle America.

The truth is between McCain and the communist we as conservative Christians had very few good choices. Of course, McCain would have been better than this free fall into socialism that we have now, but not significantly better.

Let’s hope we can keep the media from picking our next candidate and we can actually get someone that we can believe in.

Cheers!

Good Times at the Oklahoma City TEA Party

Greetings Everyone, just getting home and wanted to post some pictures from the TEA Party. It was crowded. We had to walk about a mile to get there, we were late, but still got to soak it all in.

A police officer said they estimated the crowd at around 3,000, but more people were still streaming in, so I think it went to around 3,500-4,000 easily. Who knows for sure, I’m not going to get hung up on numbers. Let’s just say it was a lot of people.

They were good wholesome folks there, like you would find in any town in America. Lots of veterans, business types, moms and children, and an occasional ne’r do well like me. :)

The speeches were ok, nothing great, but I enjoyed the grassroots feel, as opposed to some polished politicians. The crowd chanted “Vote Them All Out!” several times, it was the running theme. Best sign, “God only takes 10%” (didn’t get a picture of it, my wife saw it). Second best, “Congress is Constitutionally Illiterate” (I would add so are the executive and judicial branches).

The ending was a Top Ten list of things we can do as citizens. After each item, the crowd would shout, “Yes, We Can!” mimicking Obama’s mantra from the campaign. If this can take hold across the country, we really CAN make some significant changes and hopefully fight back this wave of socialism from spreading any further.

An elderly veteran of the 1st Infantry Division told me he hoped all of the folks there would fill the breach and actually have each others backs. “If we can do that,” he said. “We can get back the country I fought for.”

Fill the breach folks! Get each other’s backs! Take back our country from those that hate it!

Here are the pictures:

100_1023 Our liberal Democrat Governor and Lt. Governor Couldn’t make it for some reason

100_1026 Sign reads, President Obama – 79% of America IS a Christian Nation (I’m sure Homeland Security is checking this guy out)

100_1027 A speaker in a nice American Flag shirt. Wow, he wasn’t burning the flag. In fact, no one castigated our Country, everyone spoke of their love for the Country. At a liberal protest, I wonder if you hear much of that. Not so much, I’m thinking.

100_1029 We were on the far west side of things, this was a crowd shot from our side of probably no more than 10% of the crowd.

100_1031 Nothing to do with the protest, just wanted to show our Capitol Building. Indulge me.

100_1033 More of the crowd. Notice the sinister looks of the unruly mobs! Oh wait, this was a protest by the adults of the Country, not the liberal children. Carry On.

100_1035 I just loved this picture. This elderly gent is helping his grandson fix his Uncle Same hat, as he holds his American Flag lovingly. I wish I would have gotten the grandson in the picture, but maybe it’s for the best. Homeland Security would be after the kid if they had a picture of him.

100_1036 Flags! The speech-ifying was happening up on those steps. The yellow flags were “Don’t Tread on Me” ones.

100_1037 Saw several versions of this sign being carried by youngsters from 7-8 year old range, up to college age. They were all homemade and different, not like Obama rally “homemade” signs that were made by a sign company and passed out at his rallies.

100_1040 This was a mother and her children holding signs. She was very vocal about the fact that this is a Republic and not a Democracy. Every time a speaker said something about our Democracy, she would shout it isn’t one. Good for her!

100_1046 A gent dressed as Thomas Jefferson with his quote, “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have”. The ladies sign is more blunt, “Pay Your Own Bills”.

100_1048 Tea Party shirts were everywhere, but this one was a nice one. Note the Army veteran behind her. There were veterans wearing their hats everywhere. It always amazes me how those that have served our Country get it.

100_1050a Sign, “Don’t spread my wealth, spread my work ethic”

100_1050b Sign, “Who voted to spend YOUR MONEY on the $700,000,000,000 Bailout? WE DID, Tom Coburn, Tom Cole, Mary Fallin, Dan Boren, John Sullivan” (I’m deeply disappointed in Tom Coburn over this). This proves that this was not just a Republican Rally though. Both sides are held in equal disgust right now.

100_1050c Sign, “Obama’s Tax Laws Enslave Everyone”, and a “Don’t Tread on Me” Flag.

100_1051 Finally as we were leaving we saw these signs held up by a mom and her children. They say, from left to right, “Debtor $60T.”, “Time to Flip This House”, “Bankrupt 2010 AD”, and “Stop The Spending”.

Once more it was great fun, and a very important civic lesson. Hope you enjoy the pictures. If you have any comments, or questions let me know.

Cheers!

It Fit’s to a Tea….Party

Well, I’m pretty sure I’m going to the Tea Party in Oklahoma City tomorrow. It should be fun, if my back holds out. If not, it will be excruciating fun. Either way is OK with me.

I was asked if I am taking a sign. I didn’t make any, so no, I’m not taking a sign. Which should distinguish me from the liberal infiltrators, I suppose.

What’s up with that anyway? Why do liberals feel the need to try and interfere with things they don’t agree with? With extremely rare exceptions, conservatives tend to let liberals do what they want, when it comes to protests, speeches, etc. Yet, when it is conservatives doing the protesting, speech-ifying, etc. the liberals can’t stand it, and must make their presence known.

I don’t get it. Don’t they believe in free speech and free assembly? When a communist gives a speech on a college campus, no one says a thing, except “here’s my paper, Professor.” But when a conservative comes to campus, they throw pies, try to yell over the speaker, and do whatever they can to disrupt them.

When an organization is liberal, conservatives avoid it. Yet, when a conservative group tries to assemble, liberals try to join so they can disrupt things, and eventually take over the organization.

Now, when liberals protest, conservatives might attend, but they stand on the other side and counter-protest. Liberals can’t do that, they want to infiltrate in order to disrupt or make the conservatives look bad. Once more, why?

Well, it’s actually very simple and I’ve stated it before. Conservatives tend to behave in a grown up manner, liberals not so much. They throw tantrums. All of the things I’ve just described are adult tantrums.

I don’t like you so I’m going to shout over you! Sound familiar from childhood?

Tomorrow it will be hard to tell who are the conservatives and who are the liberals…not really. Just look at who are acting like children, and who are behaving like grown ups. It will actually be very easy to tell.

It’s just a shame that most of those that will be reporting on it are the children themselves.

Cheers!

So There’s this Pirate, a Ships Captain, and a President: Stop Me if You’ve Heard This One

First off, my prayers are with the Captain and his family. He sounds like a very brave man and I hope this thing turns out well for him. He deserves it. He deserves a better President than he has in charge.

I wonder why the pirates felt like now for the first time in history, we can attack an American ship? Coincidence? I think not. Weakness is a characteristic that tyrants can smell from a mile away.

Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, and these freaking Somali pirates can all smell it from the Obama Administration. What they didn’t count on were American merchant sailors not being like their leader. The American sailors kicked some pirate booty, and the brave Captain offered himself as a hostage to protect his crew.

I cannot imagine being that guy. He has my utmost respect. Oh, did I mention the pirates are Muslims? No? Well, they are. The religion of peace strikes again.

Anyway we steam a destroyer to the scene, and I’m thinking this will be over about ten minutes after the destroyer gets there. The pirates will be forced to surrender or be sent to see their 72 virgins post haste. But no, that hasn’t happened. And now the pirates are sending reinforcements out to their guys!

Has the world gone completely insane?! I know our Navy is quite capable of taking these guys out, so why haven’t they yet? It has to be because they have been given orders from higher ups to not do so. Wiping out a bunch of bad guy Muslims might look bad to Obama’s people…I mean to the Muslim world, hehe. Obama’s people are we Americans,of course, I get confused.

If we can’t be done with a lifeboat of pirates quickly, I wonder how we are going to be able to deal seriously with Russia and China. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’re sitting very pretty for anything those countries might do. Oh, we will go to the UN, where those two have veto power, and they will veto any sanctions against themselves for anything they do wrong. Obama and Clinton will be good with it, since that’s where all decisions are made, in the UN.

So here we sit, waiting for our brave ships Captain to be freed. I hope for his sake by this time next year, we aren’t still waiting. I remember the days being counted off during the Iran hostage crisis. I remember Obama just twiddling his thumbs in the Oval Office…Oh, I mean Carter, sorry, I get those two mixed up.

If I were the Balkan States, Poland, and the rest of the old Eastern Blok I’d be more than a little concerned that this guy is in the White House. Canada might want to consider getting that military back in shape. Drop the beer bottles, and grab a rifle Canadians, eh. We may not have yours or anyone else's backs much longer.

Check out the advances communism made in the 1970’s when Carter was the President. Russia misses the good old days, and Islam is the new advancing politics du jour trying to take over the free world. I’m sure Barrack Hussein Obama won’t allow tha…Barrack…HUSSEIN…nah, he won’t allow that…will he?

Cheers!

What are your thoughts on our new Presidents foreign policy? Let me know and thanks for reading the blog.

The Congressional Black Caucus Takes a Field Trip

Maybe you heard about it. It seems the Congressional Black Caucus (from this point forward known as the CBC because that other was too long to type over and over) went on a class field trip to Havana and just by chance ran into Fidel Castro.

Castro was totally unaware of them, and it was just a chance random encounter by a comunista real and some comunista falso’s, nothing big. The field trip had stopped for ice cream and just bumped in to ol’ Fidel as he was out on his daily trip of taking meals to the widows and orphans of Havana.

They were so excited to see him, and find out he’s just an ordinary guy, a pal, a comrade, a …. No? We can’t use that word? OK, edit please….

They were so excited to see him, and find out he’s just an ordinary guy, a pal, a friend, and survivor. Why little Bobby Rush even said he was a survivor. I think he meant he survived that mean evil country’s sanctions against his beautiful, wonderful fairyland of freedom, but I’m not sure.

It seems Bobby and the other children that visited Havana find America to be the oppressor state while Cuba is free and happy and gay. Oh and kind ol’ Fidel lives in a modest house and just gives everything to his adoring people. Whereas, evil Americans keep what they have only for themselves. It’s just not fair!

The CBC kids noticed people in rafts heading out to sea, and asked Fidel where they were going. He said they were his emissaries to the USA. He sends them to tell the US government and people how great Cuba is, but when they get to America they are forced to tell lies about Cuba and poor ol’ Fidel. They asked him why his soldiers were shooting at the rafts, and kind ol’ Fidel explained that his soldiers were shooting the sharks around the rafts to protect the emissaries.

Next the CBC kids went to church. Ol’ Fidel didn’t go with them, he had already been so many times this week, his knees were sore. The CBC kids enjoyed the church very much and thought how remarkably God and Fidel resemble each other. They asked Fidel about that, and he explained that he has been such a pious man of meager means his whole life that God had honored him by using his likeness. The CBC kids were so happy to hear this, they asked if they could take those images back to America with them, to pray to them there. He gladly gave them some.

Finally, the CBC kids had to say goodbye to their new bestest friend in the whole wide world, ol’ Fidel. They were sad, and didn’t want to leave. He encouraged them and said cheer up. In a few more years with Obama, you are going to have everything that we have here, comrades! No? Oh yeah I forgot. Edit that….

Cheers!

Secular America: Obama Reveals His Wishes, Not Our Reality

When I heard Obama say we are not a Christian nation, I got angry, probably like most of you. It also was a little shocking to actually hear someone say it. Why did Obama say it? What purpose does he believe he is serving by announcing this to the world?

I think it’s safe to say that this first overseas trip by Obama has been a nightmare for those of us on the political right. Obama is proving to be every bit as radical as we feared he might be. He is every bit the globalist and anti-American that we tried to portray him as BEFORE the election. The media did a great job of covering for him and making the right seem hysterical in its pronouncements.

He’s already apologized numerous times to numerous countries for numerous perceived wrongs that America has done to those countries in the past. So once more, why bring religion into it?

Obama claims to be a Christian, but is he? A lot of people will quote, “judge not lest ye be judged” (the actual verse is Matt. 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.", a sinners favorite Bible verse), as a way of silencing opposition to whatever they are currently promoting. So we dare not judge whether Obama is a Christian as he proclaims. Well, the Bible also says in Matt. 10:33 “but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.”

Hmm, “We are not a Christian nation”, so says Obama to a group of men, hmm, denial of Christ before men, hmm. Once more, why would a Christian man like Obama deny this country is Christian?

Well of course, he means we aren’t a theocracy, and we aren’t. But no one has ever claimed that we are. Why deny something that no one thinks? It’s like saying “I didn’t steal from you” to someone you just met. The person is going to immediately be suspicious and wonder what you stole.

The truth is he said this to appease the Muslim audience he was addressing, and to continue his narcissistic desire to be loved by the world. The truth also is that we were founded as, and up until recently have maintained ourselves, as a country based on Judeo-Christian ethics. So Obama didn’t lie, but he did try and imply something to the Turks that wasn’t exactly true either, and in so doing he spoke clearly to me, about his own theology.

Obama has been taught Islam, and now claims Christianity. He has had a diverse life for sure. What his true inner beliefs are, only he can answer, but we as Christians and Americans have the right to try and discern some of those beliefs for ourselves.

As I’ve stated in the past, Islam is easily proven a false religion. It’s not a sister to Judaism or Christianity as it claims, it’s the ravings of a lunatic mind. It’s as much political tome as religious doctrine. It’s beliefs are based on force. Force by killing those that refuse to submit to it’s will. It’s totally legalism, which is exactly the opposite of the salvation offered through Jesus Christ, hmm, opposite of Jesus? Hmm.

As an adult, Obama went to Jeremiah Wrights Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. I checked out their website, mission statements, Bible curriculum, and several other pages on their website. I found the words Jesus Christ 3 times, total. I found the word Christ 8 times. They claim “the God of our weary years”, which I discovered was from a poem written by James Weldon Johnson, and not from the Bible. Interestingly, I did find the word Black too many times to count, along with Black Community, Black Society, etc. The truth is in reading their website, you get the distinct feel that their mission is about their Blackness more so, than it is about their Savior.

Just to check it out, I looked at a local mega-church’s website. Their mission statement named Jesus Christ directly in 4 of the 16 statements, and says Christ in all 12 of the rest. There is nothing remotely political in any of the statements. No desires for an American theocracy, no classes on protesting abortion clinics, or anything else. It’s all about Jesus Christ, as it should be.

Islam and Trinity United are Obama’s religious experience. Hopefully, there were others more grounded in Christ than these two, but these are the two that seem to have been a part of his life for the longest.

Which brings me back around to my initial reaction, I was angry. After a few moments of thought though, I was just sad. I am sad for Barrack Hussein Obama. I am sad for our country. Of course, we have had non-Christians as President before, but none to my knowledge, have denied our countries heritage in Christianity before now. Sometimes, some things are bigger than politics. This is one of those things for me. I truly pray for Barrack Hussein Obama’s salvation or at least, his re-awakening in Christ. I believe he needs it. I believe we need it.

Cheers!

Percentages of Popularity

Stating my position on abortion was antithetical to what I am hoping to do with this blog, which is attract people to read it. I know that I alienate a lot of people, and probably upset someone every time I type something, because no one agrees 100% on everything. If I don’t speak the truth as I see it, however, then I’m not worth reading.

So here’s my popularity broken down by numbers and percents:

There are 6.7 billion people in the world. Being an American that actually loves America makes about half of those people hate me right there. I am an unapologetic patriot, and I don’t believe it to be the last refuge of a scoundrel. I’ve been called much worse anyway.

That leaves 3.35 billion people. I believe the truth of the Holy Bible, and I believe the Quran is total garbage, and easily proven so. That loses me about 1 billion people. In fact, some of the Quran is so idiotic as to be insulting to my intelligence. The moon is literally made of cheese? C’mon, we all know it’s made out of marshmallows.

But you believe that Bible crud. It’s all fairy tales too. Actually, the more archeologists discover, the more the facts in the Bible seem to be being proven true. It takes far more energy and faith to be an atheist than to be a believer, which loses me about another 500 million people around the world.

So 3.35 billion minus 1.5 billion leaves around 1.85 billion people that still love me.

Except for my position on communism/socialism, I think communism/socialism is a plague on mankind. Sure it sounds sweet, some HG Wells Utopian society where everyone is equal in all things. The truth is, it’s a pipe dream. It’s never going to happen, and those that want it most, want it so they can rule over everyone else. They want to be the rich powerful all mighty rulers over we proletariats. Just as you notice nobody in a past life was a ditch digger, but was always Cleopatra or Alexander the Great, these communism lovers are never willing to be the proletariats. So that loses me a whole bunch of the world. At least, 1.5 billion give or take a few hundred million.

That leaves about 350 million that still think I am all that and a bag of chips (roughly the population of the USA).

Well, not so fast, remember the abortion thing? That loses me about half of our population. I am a dogmatic Neanderthal that wants to force my way upon the women of America. Not really, I don’t care what women do with their bodies. I just care about what they do with the innocent children's bodies in their wombs, the ones that have a separate DNA and separate blood type. So knock off 175 million more.

Now, I am a staunch conservative. That makes the wing-nuts on the left foam at the mouth with bile and hatred. There goes a third of the population here, or another 100 million, leaving me with 75 million.

I want Obama to fail in his socialist appeasement agendas. There go around 50 million people. Obama is leading us down the road to nowhere. The fact that people love the cult of personality and can’t decipher his socialist tendencies is very troubling for the future.

I am for a flat tax and against gun control. I am totally against Union’s getting to do the card check thing, and also against welfare, corporate welfare, and farm subsidies. There go 24 million, 750 thousand.  Now I’m left with 250 thousand people that love me. Still, that’s pretty good. Oh, did I mention I’m a Sooner fan? Woops, there go at least 200 thousand Longhorn fans, and 49 thousand OSU fans.

So, 1000 people like me somewhat. Oh, I’m part Chickasaw Indian. I actually still use the term American Indian, not Native American. It’s hugely condescending to everyone else born in the USA. So that means at least 900 American Indians just got their feelings hurt, and all 98 KKK members still alive don’t like me now.

That leaves just you and me…hey, where are you going?

Cheers!

de Tocqueville and Some Random Thoughts on a Sunday Evening

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.
Alexis de Tocqueville

I certainly hope de Tocqueville wasn’t Nostradamus, because, boy howdy, has Congress discovered what bribing the public can do for their political careers. It can get you an audience with that Nobel Laureate George Clooney, or a fireside chat with acclaimed economist Susan Sarandon. Oh and it can make you a career politician, which makes you an enemy of the true spirit of this great land. The Founding Fathers didn’t set this whole thing up just to make it a playground for otherwise unemployable miscreants, misfits, and misanthropes, lawyers in other words.

I don’t mean to continue to bash Republicans, people might think I’m a closet liberal, but Ted Stevens was a perfect example of this bribery phenomenon. The Alaskan people just love ol’ Ted. He brought home the bacon. Now that his charges have been dropped, well, they want him back. He’s everything that’s wrong with the GOP, yet the otherwise conservative state of Alaska has a blind spot for Ted. The charges being dropped doesn’t make Ted innocent, but it doesn’t matter to Alaska. They want their baby back, baby back, baby back ribs..pork ribs that is, back!

Here’s hoping Alaskans don’t get their wish on this one. I love Sarah. Teddy boy…not so much.

Pittsburgh Gunman Kills 3 Police Officers

It seems some psycho gunned down 3 police officers in Pittsburgh, PA. I am terribly sorry for the officers and families. All I can offer are prayers for them, the families, and friends. I wanted to be a police officer, but never did it. I am hoping my daughter becomes one. She wants to be a forensic chemist.

I don’t want to politicize this incident, but I have to point out that the first reports of this murder spree made it sound like this whole thing started over this psychos fear of Obama taking away his right to own guns.

Here’s a link to an earlier in the day report.

Gunman Loved His Guns In Case You Missed It

The more recent article is the one at the top of this post. It says the reason officers were called to the house, was over a domestic dispute between the mom and her psycho son. The earlier in the day report doesn’t mention the dispute, presumably because no one knew yet, just why officers had gone there. That didn’t stop reporters, however, from finding friends that testified about this psycho’s love for his guns and his apprehensions that Obama wanted to take them.

The suggestion is that the reason this psycho killed the officers was to protect his radical gun rights, and thereby implying all gun owners might do the same. This type of report is straight out of the liberal reporter handbook. Start with your conclusion, and then work the facts in to finish with your conclusion. Better yet, don’t use facts, just find people willing to say what you want them to say to get to your conclusion.

Once more my deepest sympathies to those brave men and their families. The officers names are:  Paul Sciullo III, Stephen Mayhle, and Eric Kelly. I won’t name the psycho on here.

Kim Fires a Missile and the UN Yawns

Is there anything more useless in the world, than the United Nations? Obviously, the answer is no, nothing is more useless than the UN.

Oh, did I mention North Korea fired a long range missile? It’s no big deal to me, thanks to Ronald Reagan we can intercept that clunker as long as we keep up our missile defenses.

Wait, Obama wants to cease that nasty missile defense shield and let the UN handle evil Il. The UN, that last great bastion of murmurs, consultations, more murmurs, and vetoes has came to a split decision. The usual suspects, China and Russia, will veto any hard sanctions put on the North Koreans. There’s a shocker! (Does anyone outside of the Potomac really believe Russia is an ally?)

So the UN will sit around, murmur to each other, and twiddle their thumbs, oh and ask for more money from that evil country the USA. Outside of that, they aren’t good for a bloody thing. Worse, they cost money and have cost American lives in the past.

Obama had better not let that missile defense shield go by the wayside. One thing we can predict with fair certainty is a lot of the world envies America, and as time goes by more and more of them will have nuclear weapons, and the missiles to launch them. Another certainty is the UN will not do diddly to stop it.

Abortion Is a Blessing, So Says...

The Rev. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, the new Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Words fail me, but that won’t stop me from finding a few for this…person.

She goes on to call abortionists saints and heroes. Obviously, she wouldn’t feel that way if she had been aborted herself. In fact, if everyone that wants abortion legal had been aborted, this country would be 100% Pro-Life. That’s a fact.

I tend toward the libertarian side, but I don’t agree with abortion being legal. I believe it’s murder plain and simple. Unless a miscarriage happens, its certain that a person will be born from a pregnancy. So for me, it doesn’t matter what stage of pregnancy a woman is in, abortion is killing an innocent human being. The reason most Americans are for abortion staying legal, is because they can see the women and young girls that have unwanted pregnancies. They hear their sad stories. We don’t have to see those babies in the womb. We don’t talk to them, or hear their side of the story. They can’t tell us how they want a chance to live and breathe, just like their moms.

This debate is hashed out ad nauseum, so now that I’ve said my piece and where I stand, I want to move on to what I actually wanted to talk about in regard to this woman’s ravings. It brings me back to where this all started, de Tocqueville.

"the religious atmosphere of the country was the first thing that struck me on arrival in the United States."

Alexis de Tocqueville

de Tocqueville was enamored with our religious fervor and saw it as a great asset for a democracy. In fact, it was a necessity in his mind. Today, as church pews become more and more empty, and church leaders utter nonsense like this person, how are we to survive as a nation?

The truth is, I’m not sure, but I have faith, faith in God through Jesus Christ, and faith in this country despite all that it’s going through and will go through. Thank God for Christianity and for the United States. We may be all that stands between the USA and oblivion, and by proxy the world and oblivion, if de Tocqueville is Nostradamus after all.

Cheers!

Donkeys, Elephants, and Mice, Oh My!

Do you think the Republican Parties mascot is the elephant? I used to think so too, but it’s been replaced. By their actions over the last 3 months they have proven their mascot is the mouse. You know, that little rodent that scares the mighty elephant, but is in fact, scared itself. The elephant has ran away and the mice of the Republican Party huddle in their holes hoping no one notices them, or sees them, or hears them. Congratulations, it’s succeeding. No one IS noticing them, or seeing them, or hearing them.

If there were ever a time in our countries history that we need the elephant, it is now. We need a rompin’, stompin’ stampede of angry pacaderms. Instead, we get sniveling, hand wringing little mice. The donkeys have seen how the mice are behaving, and so they have intensified their braying, emboldened by the lack of elephants in our country. Except, of course, when a donkey goes overseas, then THEY become the mice, or more accurately ostriches with their heads in the sand, but I digress.

The donkeys bully workers with threats of union coercion. The people look for an elephant to champion them, they get mice hiding. The donkeys expand the White House’s control of agencies that should be outside the purview of the Administration. Those of us who worry about our constitution ask for an elephant, the mice standby, and fret. The donkeys spend, spend, and spend some more. The taxpayers look for elephants to try to save our economy; the mice duck into their holes, and ask for their share of the cheesy earmarks. The donkey threatens CEOs with mob rule if they don’t obey the donkey; those of us concerned about the intrusion of the government into the private sector ask for brave elephants, instead we get quivering mice. And lastly, they threaten to nationalize the best health care system in the world, and all of those worried about getting sick, ever, look for a heroic elephant. We get mice that turn their heads and cough.

Worse, the mice have started throwing true conservatives under the hooves of the donkeys. The Bull, Rush Limbaugh, charges the donkeys head on, and rightfully says, “I hope the donkey fails.” He confronts them and shows them for the chameleons they are. The mice whistle, tap their feet, and claim they don’t know the Bull, lest it hurts their re-election chances later.

The Eagle, Ann Coulter, sinks her satirical talons into the donkeys back, and makes his braying less dangerous. The mice rub their nervous little hands, and huddle to denounce the Eagle as mean spirited and not representative of the mice. Thankfully, they are correct.

Do you notice I don’t name a Republican politician as someone truly standing up to the braying donkey? There are a couple of Republican’s that strike a chord on a couple of issues, but there are no elephants punching the donkey in the mouth to try and stop the donkey from dragging our country into European socialism.

I feel quite confident that the majority of Americans DO NOT want our country to become the United States of Euro-America. Instead of being mice hiding in their holes worrying only about their own re-election prospects, the Republicans should be elephants once more. Winning an election is no excuse for allowing our country to be destroyed as we know it. The elephants should be trumpeting their vision for the country and differences with the donkey from the highest mountain peaks. No elephants are heard, just whimpering mice.

If just one true elephant would come forward and take on the donkey, they would become a majestic lion for at least half of the nation. Instead, sadly in this time of crisis, we get mice or even worse, RINO mice like Arlen Specter. RINO mice are actually backstabbing scorpions. There’s no one willing to point out that the braying donkey is really a whining jack-ass. If we allow the donkey to continue to bray unabated we will wake up one day to find the donkey no longer hides as a chameleon, but has metamorphosed into a bear, a Soviet style bear. By then, it will be too late for our country. The Bear will set about devouring the elephants, the mice, the scorpions, the Bull, the Eagle, the lions, the lemmings of the left, and the rest of us cattle and sheep, until only the Bear remains.

Cheers!

Obama tells Europe How Great American’s Are… and Other Fairy Tales

Well well, isn’t it great to have a president that everybody loves?! I mean the fawning, the lap-dogging, the booty kissing is getting annoying, and that’s just from Chris Matthews…But I digress.

Who would have thought that all you have to do to get Europeans to like you is to tell them what a lousy country you preside over. I couldn’t have guessed that in a million Gordon Brown goofy smiles.

In case you missed it, your president told the Europeans:

"In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world.”

Uh, yeah, we don’t appreciate it because Europe doesn’t lead in anything, except cow-towing to Muslims, and Cirrhosis of the liver. Pretty much everything else that keeps the world safe is led by the good old US of A.

At least, it used to be led by us. I have a feeling the dictators, warlords, communists, local thugs, and Alec Baldwin are all foaming at the mouth to go take over the guy next door, because this weak ninny is now in power. It’s 1976 all over again folks, and the anti-democrat’s can’t wait to replicate the land grabs and power grabs of that time period. They have Jimmy Carter back again.

Heck, Obama may give back the Hawaiian Islands just so he can’t be outdone by the Carter Administration give aways. Wait, he won’t give away Hawaii, then he wouldn’t be a citizen and we all know that might cause some problems. [/wink] OK, Alaska would be perfect. The Russian PM called him comrade, so: there ya go Russia. Please and with our compliments. Oh and keep Sarah.

More from our feckless leader:

“Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive."

How must it feel to preside over a country that you don’t really like? He doesn’t like it, a good majority of his followers don’t like it, and Michelle downright hates it.

Clearly, this statement from him is a slam on Bush. He’s saying Bush was so mean to you guys. He just did what he wanted without consulting you guys about it. Hello, McFly! We were attacked, not them. We don’t need anybodies permission to do what we feel we need to do to protect ourselves. If that hurts the wee li’l feelings of Europeans, they can get over it. Oh I’m being dismissive aren’t I? Drat that!

The truth is a good deal of your country, Mr. President, thinks that we don’t have anything to apologize for, especially to Europe. If that sounds derisive or arrogant, too bad. In fact, Europe is a big part of the Islamo-fascist problem because of their acquiescence. They do what they are good at, nothing much. Tea? Vino? Espresso? What? Join the fight? Not on your life my good man.

To be fair, a few partners have sent troops to help, Britain and former Eastern Block countries mainly (and I personally greatly appreciate their soldiers sacrifices every bit as much as our soldiers sacrifices). Isn’t it funny how those closest in their history to communist fascism are those most ready to help fight these fascists? It’s no coincidence. A lot of the eastern Europeans get it.

So, here’s the Obama foreign policy in a nutshell, get used to it for at least the next 3 years and 9 months:

“I’m sorry”

“It’s Americas fault and we will help you, here’s some money”

“I’m truly sorry we are so mean”

“Did I mention I’m sorry”

“Of course, you can take that land….did I tell you I’m sorry? I mean we’re sorry…hehe, I mean the United States is sorry”

Doesn’t this guy bring a tear of pride to your eye?

Cheers!

Basketball Brackets, Daddy Barrack, and Babes of the Left

On a Sooner basketball forum that I frequent, a strange…well, not strange, but interesting thing happened. Someone posted Barrack Obama’s NCAA basketball tournament bracket. His picks didn’t fare too well. Well, that’s being kind. The fact is they stunk, like NY City sewer stinky. The picks are from a tall Kenyan-American that couldn’t break the starting lineup of his high school in Hawaii, not exactly a hotbed of basketball prowess. Somehow as president though, he has transformed into the reincarnation of Michael Jordan, which is too bad for MJ since he’s still alive.

Now ninety-five percent of the posters on that board are dyed in the wool fanatics of Oklahoma University sports that agree on almost all things Sooner. Switzer is the King, Stoops is the greatest, Capel is the best, yadda, yadda. Yet, when someone injected Obama’s bracket into the cozy confines of this small fan board, all Hades broke loose. These people that agree, began to disagree, nastily.

My observation is it tended to split along age groups for the most part, with the young Turks siding with the “Big O” as they called him, and the more elder of us scoffing at this suddenly inflated basketball great.

The first salvo was about how he shouldn’t be spending his precious time filling out brackets, but should be devoting his full attention to the serious problems America is facing currently. This is a specious argument to me. I personally don’t expect a president to devote every minute to being president. His lousy picks proved he must not have spent too much time on the brackets anyway, so no harm, no foul.

For my part, I read the posts, chuckled and moved on. A day later that thread had ballooned to 4 or 5 pages of responses, so I knew something had heated up. I smelt politics co-mingling with sports. I clicked it again to read up on the pros and cons of the Big O’s bracketology. What I found was post after post about Obama’s greatness in basketball and politics. There were the obligatory comparisons to Bush, negative of course, and slams on McCain. The one that stuck out to me said “at least we now have a president that cares about sports”.

This caught my eye because George W. Bush was a part owner of the major league baseball team, the Texas Rangers. Either this person was too young to remember, OR his Bush derangement syndrome was so bad he couldn’t give credit to Bush for anything, OR he was so eat up with the Obama is better at EVERYTHING, that he couldn’t be objective. Whatever the reason, I posted that it was silly to assume Obama cared more about sports, by virtue of filling out a bracket, than the guy who had owned a major league team.

I was promptly told I had a blind, ignorant rage toward Obama, and I was called two derogatory names regarding male anatomical appendages.

If someone cannot acknowledge that Obama’s bracket stunk and he’s not, in fact, Michael Jordan in the Oval Office, how will they ever see the more consequential things he does wrong? I voted for Bush, twice. He did a lot of things correctly as president. I can also recite dozens of things that Bush did wrong. Way wrong!

This is a fundamental difference between conservatives and liberals as I see it. Conservatives tend to view politicians as employees hired to serve their and the nations interests. Liberals tend to view politicians as parents running everything, including their lives. Remember being a kid and thinking Dad and Mom could do no wrong? Well, for these guys and gals Obama is not the Big O, he is Daddy. He does no wrong. Which would be great, except for the fact that he does plenty wrong. They aren’t small things like basketball brackets either. They are big things like spending our money like a drunken sailor on shore leave in Bangkok.

If you call him on it, you are attacked personally, because you are attacking dear old Daddy. Look at Joe the Plumber (attacked by the media and Ohio Governor appointees), Rick Santelli (attacked by the White House), and Jim Cramer (attacked by Jon Stewart) for examples of this. You are dismissed as being irrelevant because you cant see the visionary plans that Daddy is implementing. For these folks of the left that claim nuance and shades of gray as a way of life, they see their politicians in very black and white terms, especially Daddy Obama.

Chris Matthews has thrills. Keith Olbermann gets chills. The liberal media doesn’t even try to hide its bias any longer. They are all so proud of Daddy they simply cannot contain it. And closer to home, I get called names on a usually civil forum board, because I dared to point out Daddy’s limited basketball expertise.

Cheers!

Steven Crowder is da Bomb!

For my first post on this blog, I’m going to give a shout out to Andrew Breitbart at Big Hollywood for finding, at least for me, Steven Crowder. This kid/young man is the funniest person with a good message I have seen in awhile. He is fresh. He is on target, and he is freaking hilarious.

When I grow up, I want to be Steven Crowder!

This is my personal favorite

Cheers!
